The offer object allows you to track offers related to your listings. You can track the amount offered, the conditions of the offer and which party has made the offer. The object automatically tracks the history of both buyer and seller offers and stores them in a related list on the offer record.
Why is the Offer object important?
The offer object lets you see the history of all offers and their statuses. This process allows you to view the history of all offers related to the listing in a concise format.
The Offer object buttons:
Accept Offer - This button will set the Status of the Offer record to "Accepted" and at the same time set the Listing record Status field to "Sold".
Reservation - This button will set the Status of the Offer record to "Active (Reservation)" as well as set the Listing record Status field to "Reserved".
Cancel Offer - This button will set the Status of the Offer record to "Cancelled" as well as set the Listing record Status field back to "Available".
Create Counter Offer - This button will create a new Offer record directly related to the original and is used as the counter offer where the user can modified the offered amount. The original offer record Status field will be set to "Inactive". This field does not affect the Listing record.
