Managing Companies with Propertybase [MUSIC PLAYING] One of the benefits of any CRM system is not just tracking your contacts or individuals that you might do business with, but also tracking other business relationships, such as service providers, competitors even, or partners. So in Propertybase, it's really easy to do this. And the best way to start out doing this is going into the company's tab, which you'll see at the top of your screen. So in the company's tab right here, we click through to it, and we open up to the company's page. Now, we just have a couple of elements on this page that we want to point out. In the center here, you see recent companies. There's a little button to add a new one if we want to. That's easy enough. And the second thing what we see is at the top is a view. And what views are are basically subsets of the data that you can define. Now, some of them are defined for us by the system administrators or the system itself. So let's go ahead and stick with all companies right now and click through to that. And that brings us to what's called the list view. Now, the list view, we can do several things and see several things. You can see at the top, if you have a lot of records and you want to go directly to alphabetical ordering of them, you can click through to there. On the left, there's actions. You can edit them or delete them. The plus sign actually lets you follow them in Chatter. So what that does is you can see what's going on with them. Now, like I said, we can see here in our list view the company's name, and where they're from, and the number and the type that they are, and who owns them, who owns the record. So let's say, for instance, we're to go into HiNet here. And HiNet is actually our local IT installation provider. So anybody that needs to see this record, if we have problems with our computers in our office, we can call them up at the phone number here. And we can scroll down to the bottom and see who we have. We have David and the help desk here. Their phone number is right there, and who is the leadership of the company. We can also see some really handy information from here, which is basically if there's open activities related to that company or what's going on in the past. So we can see that on August 29 that we had a new employee join our company, and we had to call up the help desk and say, hey, we need to set up a new email. So we can see all of the history. We can also attach notes or files to this record. Maybe we have a contract or something like that that we want to track this way. So actually, in this detail page, you can manage all of the data as well as add context easily. So we would just click on New Contact. It opens up to a detail field, and we enter into the names of the person we know at this company. So it's a really easy way to keep track of not only your relationships with your potential customers, but your service providers as well.
